features & specs
For 2025, the Chrysler Pacifica improves on its expertise as a roomy and sophisticated family vehicle.
What kind of vehicle is the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica? What does it compare to?
The Chrysler Pacifica is a minivan with three seating rows to accommodate up to eight. It’s unusual in the segment for offering all-wheel drive and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, though these options aren’t available together. The Pacifica competes with the Kia Carnival, Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna.
Is the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica a good van?
Yes. This Chrysler is a great choice for a minivan thanks to its smooth ride, versatile cabin, and impressive cargo capacity. It earns a 6.7 out of 10 TCC Rating. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
What's new for the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica?
Chrysler revises the Pacifica’s trim lineup for 2025 with a new base Select model available in both V-6 and plug-in hybrid versions, a mid-tier Limited for V-6 only, and top-end Pinnacle models with both powertrains. The Limited now comes standard with the S Appearance package. Standard features now include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, premium carpet, a universal garage door opener, and one-touch windows in the second row.
The Pacifica isn’t ashamed of its minivan bones, but adds to its practical appeal with upscale styling and a premium cabin. Most configurations have seven seats, though the Pacifica is available with eight, and adults can fit comfortably in every spot.
Chrysler equips the Pacifica with a 3.6-liter V-6 in base form, matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission and good for fuel economy ratings of 22 mpg combined. Its available plug-in hybrid powertrain is matched with a CVT and is capable of 32 miles on a full charge and 30 mpg combined when the battery depletes. V-6 models can get all-wheel drive, but the hybrid is front-drive only.
Every Pacifica boasts a smooth, comfortable ride with well-tuned steering, minimal body lean, and an impressive ability to absorb bumpy pavement. Rear passengers can have it even better with expensive options, including touchscreens with video streaming and games.
Regardless of the trim or feature set, the Pacifica boasts fantastic passenger and cargo space. Entry and mid-level V-6 models feature second-row bucket seats that can tuck away into the floor, and all versions pull that same trick in the third row. Chrysler equips plenty of standard safety and driver-assistance technology, though crash-test ratings suffer from the IIHS’ updated, tougher test program.
How much does the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica cost?
Chrysler hasn’t announced pricing for the 2025 Pacifica lineup as of this writing, though shoppers should budget at least $40,000 for a V-6 model and at least $52,000 for a hybrid, based on previous years. The Pacifica comes standard with adaptive cruise control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power-sliding side doors, and a power tailgate.
Where is the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica made?
Chrysler builds the Pacifica in Ontario, Canada.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Styling
Sophisticated lines elevate the Chrysler Pacifica above its contemporaries.
Is the Chrysler Pacifica a good-looking van?
It’s interesting, and arguably more upscale than rivals. The Pacifica makes no effort to disguise the telltale sliding minivan doors, but the overall exterior design is cohesive, and it comes dressed up with deep colors and some delicate brightwork. For styling, it’s a 7.
The Pacifica’s front end wears avian-like LED headlights that frame a bold grille. The side profile is rather plain, though a light touch of chrome trim calls attention to subtle lines. The rear view isn’t the Pacifica’s best, but it’s worth it for the massive, and massively convenient, cargo opening.
The cabin welcomes occupants with logical layouts and plenty of space, though it’s rather plain in base trims. A refreshed interior color palette would go a long way.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Performance
Refined powertrains and a smooth ride give the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica upscale vibes.
Thanks to its impressively smooth ride, the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica earns a 6 for performance. Powertrain choices are generally refined, though we don’t award a point here because the V-6’s 9-speed automatic transmission stumbles at inopportune times.
Is the Chrysler Pacifica 4WD?
All-wheel drive is available with the V-6 engine.
How fast is the Chrysler Pacifica?
In the volume-selling 3.6-liter V-6 configuration, the Pacifica makes a fair 287 hp and turns out 262 lb-ft of torque. That should be plenty, but the 9-speed automatic struggles to find the right gear at low speeds. Still, the Pacifica has well-weighed steering, which shines on winding roads as well as the highway. Stick with the standard 17- or 18-inch wheels for the smoothest ride, and you’ll be rewarded with quiet cruising and excellent road-trip performance.
In plug-in hybrid form, the Pacifica adds a pair of electric motors and a 16-kwh battery to a less potent V-6 engine, for a combined 260 hp. It’s capable of highway speeds on battery power alone, and goes up to 32 miles on a full charge. However, the Pacifica Hybrid is 500 pounds heavier, which makes handling more cumbersome.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Comfort & Quality
Chrysler makes the most of the Pacifica’s massive interior space with some truly lovely options.
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica boasts seating for up to eight, and it delivers. Adults can sit comfortably in every spot in the vehicle, regardless of configuration. The Pacifica earns a 9 for its supportive front seats even in base trim, ability to carry five or more in comfort, innovative seating features, and impressive cargo capacity.
The Pacifica comes standard with supportive front seats with driver’s power adjustment and firm cushions. V-6 base and mid-tier versions include Stow‘‘n Go second-row seats that can fold flat into the floor for extra cargo space. Every version also gets a third-row Stow‘‘n Go bench seat with a 60/40 split, and in the V-6 Pinnacle, this bench gets a power folding feature. Versions with second-row captain’s chairs are not available with second-row Stow ’n Go.
Shop carefully if you need eight-passenger capacity instead of seven; the three-seat second row is only available in select configurations.
The Pacifica offers a maximum of 140.5 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which is more appropriately compared to a commercial van than a rival passenger vehicle. There’s an impressive 32.3 cubes of space behind the third row.
Interior trim starts off with value materials in bland colors, though if you work your way up to the top Pinnacle, quilted leather in a warm brown tone provides a welcoming atmosphere.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Safety
The Pacifica lineup fares decently in crash testing.
How safe is the Chrysler Pacifica?
It’s a 8 out of 10 here, with OK crash-test ratings from the NHTSA and the IIHS, good standard safety features, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Pacifica earns a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA, though the IIHS downgraded the side test and moderate overlap front test ratings to the second-best score of Acceptable and the second-worst score of Marginal, respectively.
For 2025, the Pacifica comes standard with adaptive cruise control, the aforementioned automatic emergency braking, active lane control, blind-spot monitors, and a rear-seat reminder system. Consider spending extra for parking sensors and the surround-view camera system.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Features
Extras make the Pacifica’s price climb quickly.
Over the past several years, Chrysler has steadily and significantly raised the price of the Pacifica lineup. Though Chrysler hasn’t announced pricing for the 2025 Pacifica as of this writing, we anticipate similar price increases. That would put the 2025 Pacifica at an 8 for features, with points awarded for its competitive list of standard features, its user-friendly infotainment, and its broad lineup of trims and options.
Pacifica models with the V-6 engine have an average warranty, just 3 years/36,000 miles. Hybrid versions have 5-year/60,000-mile coverage plus 10 years for the powertrain, which would earn an additional point if rated separately.
For 2025, the Pacifica lineup gets a new base Select model, which features 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver seat with memory, heated front seats, a heated and leather-trimmed steering wheel, second-row Stow ’n Go folding bucket seats that can be stored flat in the floor, a third row Stow ’n Go folding bench, power-sliding doors, a power tailgate, remote start, and Chrysler’s user-friendly Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Pacifica Hybrid is available only in base Select and top Pinnacle trims for 2025. Potential shoppers should check for availability of federal and state incentives to see how pricing compares to the base gas Pacifica.
Which Chrysler Pacifica should I buy?
The base Select should satisfy most shoppers, but if not, the mid-tier Pacifica Limited adds nappa leather upholstery, cooled front seats, heated second-row seats, an upgraded center console, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a hands-free power liftgate, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
How much is a fully loaded Chrysler Pacifica?
The loaded Pacifica Pinnacle historically hasn’t been cheap, starting upwards of $56,000 in past years. This model features hands-free power-sliding doors, two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels, an integrated vacuum cleaner, and premium quilted nappa leather upholstery with matching pillows for the second-row captain’s chairs. However, the second-row seats in the Pinnacle cannot fold away into the floor.
2025 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Economy
In plug-in hybrid form, this Chrysler offers an all-electric range of up to 32 miles.
Is the Chrysler Pacifica good on gas?
Iit can be. The Pacifica Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with a battery-electric powertrain capable of 32 miles on a full charge. When the electric range is depleted, the Pacifica Hybrid is estimated for a combined 30 mpg, which is still quite good. It’s worth mentioning that though the Toyota Sienna is more efficient in its combined rating, it’s not offered as a PHEV.
However, our rating of 2 on a 10-point scale is based on the volume-selling V-6 gas-only model. This version of the Pacifica has EPA ratings of 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 combined for front-drive models, and with all-wheel drive, those numbers drop to 17/25/20 mpg.
