2012 Honda FCX Clarity

Overview

The limited-edition FCX Clarity is an electric car that makes its own power using a hydrogen-fed fuel cell. It is powered by a 134-hp electric motor and has a claimed range of 270 miles of emissions-free driving. Speed is not in the Clarity's dictionary, as it does zero-to-60 runs in about 12.5 seconds, but as a family eco-car, that's not a major concern. More damning is the fact that customers must live near a hydrogen fueling station, a rarity even in green-friendly California.
