features & specs
While this lineup lacks the breadth of some rivals, the Jaguar F-Pace is welcome company in any enthusiast’s garage.
What kind of vehicle is the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace? What does it compare to?
The 2025 F-Pace is a compact five-seat luxury SUV that competes with the related Range Rover Velar, plus the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
Is the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace a good SUV?
While far from the best value in its segment, the F-Pace nonetheless brims with character. Its poised handling and impressive power are standouts, helping it earn a 6.6 out of 10 on the TCC scale. (Read more about how we rate cars.)
What's new for the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace?
Rumors indicate that this will be the final model year for the F-Pace, at least in its current gas-fueled incarnation, as Jaguar shifts toward an all-electric lineup. As a celebration of sorts, the top SVR model now boasts 567 hp, a 25-pony bump over last year’s version.
The F-Pace carries over its hunkered-down, long-roof shape, which is more like a tall wagon than a bulky SUV, even though this model shares its bones with the Land Rover Range Rover Velar. Its cabin is decidedly car-like, too, and it’s outfitted in decadent leather and other upscale trims. The F-Pace remains a delight, even though it’s now a dated design.
The all-boosted lineup includes a 246-hp turbo-4 in the P250, a 395-hp turbocharged mild-hybrid inline-6 in the P400, and, of course, the supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 in the P575. None is slow, though the P400 is likely enough for most shoppers. Fuel economy figures are reasonable given power outputs, but even the mild hybrid’s mere 25-mpg highway rating is nothing special.
These SUVs have a firm but good ride and agile handling. They’re fun in any form.
The F-Pace has a comfy cabin with great front seats and adequate second-row room. However, its cargo area is small compared to its competitors.
Neither the IIHS nor the NHTSA has crashed the F-Pace, which isn’t a surprise given its low sales volumes. It includes a good array of crash-avoidance features, however.
How much does the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace cost?
The F-Pace kicks off at $58,275, though it climbs quickly from there. The F-Pace R-Dynamic S, which has a turbocharged and supercharged 3.0-liter inline-6 mild-hybrid powertrain runs about $68,000, while the top SVR comes in at nearly $94,000.
Where is the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace made?
In Solihull, England.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Styling
The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace wears graceful styling inside and out.
Is the Jaguar F-Pace a good-looking car?
It’s more like a tall station wagon than an SUV, but that’s hardly an insult. The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace is a decidedly good-looking crossover SUV that gets a point for its exterior and two for its divine cabin, which can be outfitted with some downright luxurious trim.
The F-Pace’s basic style has been around for a rather long time; it dates back to 2017. But as it’s a rarity in the wild, we still think it looks fresh. A boxy grille over big air intakes and flanked by small headlights gives the F-Pace a subtly feline look. Its side profile is its best bit, though, with a just-right arch to its roofline that culminates in a neat tail end.
Inside, it’s lovely with lots of stitched surfaces in most versions and a big touchscreen mounted fairly high on the dash. Big buttons and knobs give the F-Pace a purposeful look inside, too. It’s best in lighter hues, though black with metallic trim is suitably sporty, too. We award it two points for its graceful and sporty exterior and another for its attractive cabin for an 8 out of 10 here.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Performance
Few compact luxury SUVs offer the balance of the Jaguar F-Pace.
From mild to wild, the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace offers a version for anyone. This lineup is likely in its final year with gasoline propulsion, and it celebrates the last century-plus of fuel-burning with impressive performance from any version. We rate the range at 7 out of 10 thanks to an impressive ride/handling balance and solid acceleration in any form.
Is the Jaguar F-Pace 4WD?
Yes, all-wheel drive is standard. Most models have a limited-slip rear differential that aids traction on slippery terrain, too, but none of these are real off-roaders.
How fast is the Jaguar F-Pace?
It’s not that rapid in base, somewhat gruff P250 form, where the 2.0-liter turbo-4 does the 0-60-mph run in a reasonable 6.9 seconds. The option you really want here is the P400, which has a 3.0-liter inline-6 that’s both turbo- and supercharged and hooked up to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for added propulsion. It’s quite refined and downright quick with 395 hp on tap, even though the 8-speed automatic transmission can fumble its way through the first few gears in low-speed driving.
The range culminates in the P575 SVR with 567 hp on tap, a 25-hp boost over last year’s model. Figure a 0-60 mph run in about 3.8 seconds accompanied by one of the finest underhood roars you’re ever likely to encounter.
The F-Pace has a long wheelbase by class standards, which gives it a planted feel and a smooth response to undulating pavement. Even base models are a touch firm, though, and those fitted with big 21-inch wheels can be downright stiff. Hefty steering hints at the F-Pace’s performance bent, too.
These SUVs are even rated to tow 5,300 pounds when fitted with the available trailer hitch.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Comfort & Quality
The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace boasts a stunning cabin.
It may not be the freshest interior on the market, but the 2025 Jaguar F-Pace continues to delight. Its interior has beautiful materials, good space up front, and a useful cargo area. It’s an 8 out of 10 on our scale.
A thick-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which corresponds well with the 11.4-inch touchscreen integrated nicely into the dashboard. Lovely materials come across the board, with those at the top of the range boasting especially nice available leather that extends from the seats to the dash and door panels.
Front-seat riders have standard 12-way power adjustments at their disposal. Most models you’ll find will have real leather, heated and cooled front seats, and maybe even front-seat massagers.
Rear-seat riders have a reasonable 37.2 inches of legroom and good headroom, though three passengers will find scant hip room.
The 32.1 cubic-foot cargo area expands to 70.4 cubes with the rear seat backs folded down.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Safety
The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace comes with decent crash-avoidance tech.
How safe is the Jaguar F-Pace?
Neither the IIHS nor the NHTSA has crash-tested one yet, so we can’t say for certain. Given its limited sales volume, the F-Pace may not be tested at any point, and we can't give it a score here.
It comes with decent, but not extravagant, standard driver-assistance technology. You’ll find automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, parking sensors, active lane control, automatic high-beams, and a surround-view camera system, though adaptive cruise control is optional. No hands-free tech is available here.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Features
The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace can be beautifully outfitted—for a price.
This compact luxury SUV definitely doesn’t have a small pricetag. Jaguar wants $57,295 to start, which buys four-cylinder power, all-wheel drive, synthetic leather trim, heated front seats, an 11.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and 19-inch wheels. That’s decent standard fare, which earns it a point. Plentiful extras add another. And the 5-year/60,000-mile warranty with free maintenance nets the F-Pace a third point, bringing it to an 8 out of 10 on the TCC scale.
Which Jaguar F-Pace should I buy?
You need the R-Dynamic S P400’s engine to really unleash this beast. Unfortunately, that’s a hefty upcharge: figure $67,775 to start, and even then Jaguar will tempt you with some optional extras. We’d add metallic paint, leather seats with 16-way power adjustments and massaging up front, wood trim (it’s a Jag, after all), and a package with head-up display. At $75,000, our F-Pace is no bargain, but it manages to feel worth the coin nonetheless.
How much is a fully loaded Jaguar F-Pace?
The top-end P575 SVR runs $95,225 to start, and Jaguar offers a huge lineup of paint and trim options that can easily add another $10,000.
2025 Jaguar F-Pace Fuel Economy
The 2025 Jaguar F-Pace bids adieu to gasoline by using lots of it.
Is the Jaguar F-Pace good on gas?
Not really. With the turbo-4, it’s estimated at 22 mpg city, 27 highway, 24 combined, which isn’t particularly good even considering its power and its standard all-wheel drive. The P400 version’s powertrain is a mild hybrid, but it’s geared for acceleration rather than frugality. It’s estimated at just 19/25/21 mpg. Both will make up the bulk of the sales and they qualify as a 2 here.
The big SVR slides to a very thirsty 15/21/17 mpg.
