Overview

Fisker's halo sports car is coming into focus as the Project Ronin concept. The fledgling EV automaker claims it will be going into production in the second half of 2024 as a four-door convertible. Fisker says it's aiming to own the title of “world's longest range for a production EV,” which would mean more than 520 miles per charge. That's how far the current record holder, the Lucid Air, can travel on a single charge, according to the EPA. The Ronin will use active aerodynamics, a battery pack that's integrated into the structure of the car, and an all-vegan interior—which most likely means vinyl upholstery rather than real cowhide. We will no doubt learn more closer to the car's debut.

What's New for 2025?

The Ronin will be a new nameplate for the Fisker brand and it’s expected to debut in August of 2023 with production starting in the second half of 2024.

Fisker hasn't announced pricing for the Ronin, but given its lofty range target and positioning as the brand's halo car, we're expecting a much higher starting price than the upcoming and relatively affordable Ocean and Pear SUVs.

    EV Motor, Power, and Performance

While we don't know specifics on horsepower, we do know that Fisker is planning a three-motor all-wheel drive powertrain with a 600-mile estimated driving range. In an Instagram post, company CEO Henrik Fisker claimed this setup should be capable of rocketing the Ronin to 60 mph in just 2.0 seconds.
